Kaha Preserved Foods Company

  • Kaha Preserved Foods Company is a subsidiary of the Food Industries Holding Company under the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade. It is one of the first companies established in Egypt in the field of food canning, founded in 1940, starting with a single factory in Qaha City, Qalyubia Governorate, under the name “The Egyptian Food Factory.”
  • In 1961, Al-Tahrir Factory, located in Badr Center, Beheira Governorate, was merged with Kaha to produce legumes and juices.
  • In February 1962, the company was re-established as a joint-stock Egyptian company after adding several factories and merging them into one entity under the name and brand “Al-Nasr Preserved Foods (Kaha).”
  • In 1965, Al-Tabia Factory in Alexandria (Rasheed Line) was merged with Kaha. The factory produces juices and jams, serves as Kaha’s main export hub, is one of the largest production units of the company with integrated production lines, and obtained ISO 9001:2000 certification.
  • In 1967, Abu Kabir Factory in Sharqia Governorate was merged with Kaha.
  • In 1973, Al-Qurain Factory in Sharqia Governorate was merged with Kaha to produce natural and artificial syrups as well as juices.
  • Due to the success achieved and the practical expertise gained in food canning and preservation, Kaha’s production became in demand worldwide.
  • It is worth mentioning that Kaha played a vital and principal role in supplying preserved food to the Armed Forces during the War of Attrition and the Glorious October War.
  • In 1991, the company became subject to the Public Business Sector Law No. 203 of 1991. Its articles of association were published in the Egyptian Gazette No. 78 in 1993, and the company’s name was officially changed to “Kaha Preserved Foods Company.”

Edvina Company

  • The company was established in May 1956 with 100% Egyptian capital amounting to 76.8 million Egyptian pounds.
  • Edvina operates in the field of processing and freezing vegetables and fruits. It established a group of specialized factories using the latest technologies to keep pace with global developments in producing and preserving juices, nectars, jams, syrups, and tomato-based products.
  • The company also owns a factory for freezing vegetables and a factory for producing tin containers and their covers of all types in accordance with international specifications using advanced European technology.
  • The Damietta Factory was initiated on October 10, 1958, on an area of 7,500 square meters.
  • The factory was inaugurated in 1960.
